Homework Policy
Students will be given a weekly quiz on Mondays. Worksheets and assignments related to these quizzes will be given out seven days prior, on the Monday before the quiz. If Monday is a holiday, then homework will be distributed and quizzes will be administered during the next English class (Tuesday for "odd" periods and Wednesday for "even" periods.) Due dates for essays and other assignments will be written on the board, and students will copy this information into their Binder Reminder at the beginning of each class period.
Students, it is YOUR responsibility to write both short-term and long-term assignments in your Binder Reminder. If you are absent or have questions about an assignment, you can take the following measures to stay on top of your work:
- Call a friend who is in the class and get the homework from him or her
- Email me (however, I may not be able to write you back in time)
- When you return, ask me what you missed
Please keep in mind that I adhere to the homework policy outlined in the Binder reminder. When you return from an absence, ALWAYS see me to get the assignments you missed. I may ask you to see me during brunch or after school so that I can explain an assignment in detail.
